TURN OFF THE DARK: Our Weekend At Zoe

TURN OFF THE DARK: Our Weekend At Zoe

What an amazing Sunday at the El Rey Theatre! It was an honor to have Pastor Levi Lusko—Lead Pastor of Fresh Life Church and author of “Through the Eyes of a Lion”—with us all weekend.

Pastor Levi’s message, "Turn Off The Dark” (2 Timothy 1:10) took us through his journey of being able to process pain, and understanding that our pain brings forth something greater in us. We left so encouraged and reminded that there is no fear in death and Jesus destroyed death through His resurrection!

Pastor Levi went on to explain the time in-between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday known as “Saturday” or figuratively, hard times or difficult circumstances in our lives. He gave us 4 ways to "Make it through Saturday" when we don't see a way possible:

1. YOU MUST NOT RELY ON THE NAKED EYE

We cannot trust our eyesight, the things that we see everyday, or the situation that we are in. We must choose to walk by faith and trust in God.

“So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:6-7)

2. YOU HAVE TO TRAIN FOR THE TRIAL YOU’RE NOT YET IN.

"No matter what comes your way, as long as God is your foundation you will stand firm.” (Proverbs 10:25)

3. LET GOD USE YOUR PAIN

"When you go through something difficult, God is preparing you for something spectacular.”

4. CUE THE EAGLE

Life can be hard to bear alone, but we don’t have to! All we have to do is call out to God and trust Him. (Isaiah 40:29-31)

What an incredible message! Our prayer for you is that you'd be filled with hope for whatever your circumstances may be. Let this week be the best week of your life!
